Dear Cary & Associates,
My name is Mark W and I have read Blinkers Off and Ordered and listened to 2 Learn to Earn CD's. You previously emailed me a weeks worth of old Shorts which I have studied. More recently I have commenced purchasing the Shorts on a regular basis. I can report success at Santa Anita and Gulfstream Park this weekend. I retired from Santa Anita in September after 36 years in their money room. The rumor at that time told of big problems with drainage on their cushion track this winter.
I am requesting, if possible, that you email me your par numbers. If there is a charge let me know and I will send a remittance promptly.
In closing, I want to let you know I have been handicapping for 55 years. In any event, these numbers seem to work at Gulfstream as well as Santa Anita and Cary's System is unequivocally the best handicapping aid I have ever known. I have cashed on more 20-1 and 30-1 in the past 2 weeks than the previous 10 years, unbelievable.
Thanks again
Mark W

Cary,
In today's 8th at Gulfstream, 7f msw for 3yo, Close to the Vest looked terrible
in the Form in its only start 6 weeks ago. But in the Xtras, he had a classic
plunge line with a decent final figure - 61(77). I managed to get a small
win-place bet down as he won for fun (about 6 lengths) paying $80.20 & $49.20.
This is why I buy the Xtras.
Happy New Year!

The Pick four at Ellis is the innovation that the sport needs fast. If only more influential people like you would get involved I'm certain the game could be changed for the better. Great job as always! Thanks for the free Ellis sheets for a month, Racing Insider and (John Pricci are great)!
Best regards,
Jimmy M.

Cary,
Really appreciate the free XTRAS for Ellis as well as your continued support for lowered takeout rates. I hope you continue to look for ways that betting exchanges can become a reality in the U.S. I played on e-horse exchange for awhile before the legislation made moving money around so difficult and it was really a lot of fun. I also had a sneaking suspicion that there were some real opportunities playing multi-layered pick-3's at a site like pinnacle with a 7% rebate (ah.. the good old days for the small time player) into short priced favorites in the last leg that could be hedged while booking action "against" on the exchange. A little beyond my understanding, but I think I could have made something work with more time to figure it out.
I am currently devoting an equal amount of my bankroll to poker - less volatility, far more promotions, and in the SF bay area 24/7 action at two card rooms within 15 min. of my condo. Most importantly, there are never late changes in the pot size that all of a sudden make my draw to the nut flush incorrect.
I am currently taking what you called "a short layoff". Pleasanton is actually my favorite two weeks of the racing year. i do a lot of research and gamble there every day of the meet. While it was once again profitable, it was a little stressful this year as the first week wasn't kind. However, when Ireturn to the pools next week it will be at Ellis even if it means putting money back into my Xpressbet account. (how a company like Pinnacle operating in Curacao and communicating through email can provide a better gambling experience than a business ten minutes away, I will never understand.) Anyway, I can't believe the level of customer service you guys provide even to a small time player like myself.
Thanks again,
Rob K

Thanks Cary for this great offer. I will play Ellis Park everyday - not just the pick 4 but the other races as well. I need a new track to replace my beloved Southern California. I just cannot get a hold of these polytracks, so I am now playing only non poly tracks. I also only play So Cal turf races and that will include my first love Del Mar, right now my main focus is New York and Churchill, and now add Ellis.

Del Mar Sep 03-04 2006
Know you know this as we spoke earlier today, but hitting Saturday's huge Pick-4, getting 5/6 in Pick-6 all with Transduction Gold on a TD Line and then the Pick-6 the next day with Get Funky on a TD Line for a total take of $100k could only have happened with luck (gotta have it) and believing in The XTRAS. The TD Line is such an incredibly powerful pattern. Can't wait for the Kentucky trip.
All the best, Sal.
Del Mar Opening Day Tele-Clinic 07/21/06
Cary, I thoroughly enjoyed the last Tele-Clinic. Very interesting and very educational. I wasn't able to be with you live, but first thing in the morning I was all over the presentation that you and John gave. Needless to say I was thrilled when I heard you call my name as the 5th LUCKY WINNER in the drawing for partners. It will be a lot of fun and I am really looking forward to the day, as well as the other tele-clinics this summer. Have a great day and I'll be talking to you soon. Thanks for everything.

Blinkers Off, by Cary Fotias 06/03/06
Cary,
I read your book this week, and in the very first race I bet after finishing it, I hit the 40-1 winner in the 3rd at Hollywood last night, based on the turnback numbers. Although I only had 4 of 6 in the pick 6, I also had a 9-1 winner and a $75 exacta, so Im a pretty happy customer. Just wanted to say thank you.

Thank you for the seminar on Saturday - I would have to proclaim you handicapping geniuses for a couple of picks on Saturday - particularly Muevete and your analysis of the Aqueduct seventh race.
David R.
Hi Cary:
Found your tele-seminar tremendously informative, the analysis of the 6 plus races very accurate. I went out to the simulcast racebook&cashed a couple of 14-15 to 1 win tickets as well as exotics. So the seminar was money well invested. Just would like ask a couple of questions on how to best use the Xtras.
1)Which form improvement patterns do you find occur the most?
2)When you're handicapping a race, do you use the Xtras to first pick out the contenders before using the DRF validate those choices& set your odds line?
Once again thanks!
Randy L.
Thank you very much for putting on the seminar. I very much enjoyed it, learned alot, and will sign up for future activities. I am a VP of Strategic Planning for a large NASDAQ traded company and participate in alot of teleconferences--yours was as well managed, and informative as any I have been on.
Few thoughts--Perhaps next time you can focus on a fewer races and go through each horse (no matter how brief) so we can see how you/John approach a race and get insight into your thinking. This seminar quickly touched on the horses and focused on illustrating key concepts of why you were focusing on a particular horse. That being said--you did a great job of illustrating concepts as NPT and compression. As you mentioned, I would also do a seminar integrating creating an odds line with the Xtras.
My request--could you send me the Xtras for Aqu. for Friday 11/25 and Sat 11/26. I would like to practice a bit, and hone my skills!
Thanks again,
John B.
Tele-Clinic #3 04/08/06
Seminar 3 was great! I learned a bunch. Best call was Jazil in the Wood. You called the 6 horse Mister Triester in the 7th at Hawthorne (ILL Derby) for the exacta. But, on the extras, I thought he looked better than he was given credit for during the seminar. As a two year old, he had a NPT in DEC. Then, he exploded with a 75 on 3 Feb of his three year old. That ties any horse in the race for second. He bounced back to a 72 then looped back around to come in second at 27-1 and trigger a $ 80.00 exacta.
In the 9th at Keeneland, the 1 horse Bushfire, THIS horse has to be a poster boy (girl) for the extras. In November of her two year old year, she reversed with a tight spread with a 72 speed, the only filly in the field to have done so (reversed with at least a 72 speed). Then, at three, she broke thru her two year old top to a 72". This set up the explosive pattern. Her next race, she scored a NPT. Next race, soft win. Give her a point and a half for the the NPT. You get a 74. The only horse in the race faster is Balance with a 74". Who do you want Balance at 1-5 with a 74" or Bushfire with a 74 at 15-1?
Overall, great job guys. I learned and earned. Several of things you brought out, I have not heard before, and will add these patterns (i.e. Jazel pattern line) to my notebook.
You're stuff is the best out there. I've used Thoroughgraph, Sheets, Brisnet etc. But, your methodology best answers the question posed by handicapping great, William Scott." How Will Your Horse Run Today?"
The seminar was, for me anyway, the best you've done so far, in explaining these patterns of progression the young horses make (perhaps because it is the time of season that your stuff gets the best results). I already know the stuff works. I want to learn more about why it works, so I can get better.
Bushfires' pattern was hard to see because the NPT was in a crap race in the mud. (which made it that much more parimutually valuable). Also, the soft win made it difficult to see the delayed NPT.
Again, thanks for the insight.
Thanks,
Charlie B.
Learn to Earn Tele-Clinic 03/11/06
Hi guys,
I registered for the Learn to Earn seminar; for my bonus I would like the Xtras and Shorts for March 11th Aqueduct card.
Thank you guys for helping me to become a winning horseplayer for the first time.
I thought I knew how to read The Xtras; but since the two tele-seminars, I've been seeing the races in a whole new light.
I can now throw out non contenders with confidence, focus on the horses who have a shot, and make winning bets.
Thank you for making this wonderful game so exciting. I play on the weekends and just can't wait for the weekends when I can sit with The Xtras and the racing form.
PS. My wife also thanks you. I am much easier to live with now.

Las Vegas Ultimate Handicapping Summit 03/27-29/06
Velma and I would like to thank the entire Equiform team - Cary,
John, George, Mitch, and Richard back in the Equiform Control Tower for the fabulous
experience we had at the incredible Wynn Hotel. This was one of the highlights of our
entire lives. Velma had a blast motoring all over the strip and the Wynn Hotel. She also
put $15 bucks on one spin of the Roulette wheel and cashed out for $350!
For me, the ability to handicap on the fly, asking the experts
questions real-time, was amazing. Tapping the incredible knowledge base of my
fellow summit participants, and sharing information in the process of handicapping,
added new insights and angles that I hadn't heard before anywhere.
George, a class act all the way, spent a lot of time with
me analyzing the race card at Hollywood that I had made an odds line for. He
shared many angles and insights with me, that I was able to wheel into use the
next day. The strength of combos enabled me to hit a prime bet on Saturday, and
I learned when there is "no value" to draw a line through the race.
The amazing "Doctor" John (so named because of
his encyclopedic knowledge of the Sport of Kings) also shared several insights that
allowed me to hit for scores. Will "Wil O' Wisp" bounce? was one question I
remember in particular. Thanks Dr. John.
Mitch had great stories to tell the first night. The man obviously loves the game. Thanks for making me feel welcome.
And last, but not least, a special thanks to the amazing Cary Fotias who put the whole concept of the Xtras together.
Congratulations Team Equiform!!!
